Dr. Martin Hebel, music composition and theory faculty member in the Department of Music at the 江南体育, has released a new album. Half Silver is featured on 鈥淥rchestral Masters Vol. 11鈥 from Ablaze Records, and was released earlier this month.
Student Counseling Services, part of the Health and Well-Being collective at the 江南体育, has partnered with Active Minds to host Send Silence Packing, an exhibit that has traveled the country to end the silence that surrounds mental health and suicide and connect the campus community with resources for support and action.
The 江南体育 Horn Studio has been accepted by application to perform at the Mid-South Horn Workshop at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Ark., March 27-29.
Innovate Alabama has announced its third round of designees of the Innovate Alabama Network, and the 江南体育 has been named as the recipient of two awards that total almost $800,000 through the Network Designation Grant and Project Grant programs.
Dr. Martin Hebel, music composition and theory faculty member at UNA, has won a national composition competition and was selected as a featured composer for the 2025 Hot Air Music Festival at the prestigious San Francisco Conservatory of Music (SFCM).
Light the Fountain, this year presented by Chick-fil-A, is the beloved annual spring event at the 江南体育; it returns for a ninth year Thursday. The event, which includes food, music, fireworks, and giveaways, will kick off at 4 p.m. with a variety of food trucks and entertainment. The official program will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Sonceria Ann Berry, who graduated from the 江南体育 in 1978, has been confirmed by the Alabama Senate to fill the Board of Trustees seat currently held by Dr. Wendell Gunn, who did not desire to seek reappointment. The final confirmation took place in Montgomery on Thursday morning, and Berry鈥檚 six-year term will begin in July.
